Ranchi: Hemant Soren Swearing-In Ceremony
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will take the oath of office for the fourth time on November 28 at the Morhabadi Ground in Ranchi. This makes him the only leader in the state to hold the Chief Minister’s post four times. Typically, the swearing-in ceremony is held at the Raj Bhavan, but this time, the ruling regional party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), has achieved a significant victory, boosting the enthusiasm of supporters and party cadres. To mark the occasion, grand preparations are underway.
The venue, an open space, is ideal for a large gathering and easily accessible from all directions within the state. The event is expected to turn into a mega political show as Hemant Soren invites prominent anti-BJP national leaders to showcase his strength. This gathering of leaders will aim to send a strong message across the country while also boosting the morale of JMM, its allies, including the Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and CPI(ML), as well as their supporters.
The coalition legislators have agreed that the event should be held in a large open ground. This is why four days have been allocated for preparations to ensure both the arrangements and the presence of prominent national leaders.
Hemant Soren Travels to Delhi with Wife Kalpana to Extend Invitations
Accompanied by his wife and legislator Kalpana Soren, Hemant Soren left for Delhi on Monday evening to personally invite senior national leaders to the ceremony. Several non-BJP Chief Ministers are expected to attend. Leaders like Congress’s Rahul Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, DMK president and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, and TMC chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee are among the prominent names likely to be present. Hemant and Kalpana Soren are expected to return by Tuesday evening.
PM Modi and Amit Shah May Also Be Invited
Reports suggest that invitations will also be extended to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to attend the swearing-in ceremony.
