State Bureau, Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has urged the workers of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) to start preparing for the upcoming elections. Soren emphasized that the people of the state have supported them with great expectations. It is the responsibility of both the government and the organization to fulfill these expectations.
Soren mentioned that the government has implemented several schemes over the past four years. It is also the duty of the organization’s members to ensure these schemes reach the public so that their benefits reach the common people.
Addressing Party Leaders:
On Thursday, Hemant Soren addressed the district presidents, secretaries, and block presidents and secretaries of the party. He instructed party workers to begin election preparations immediately.
He also informed that the ‘Government at Your Doorstep’ program will resume from November 15, and party and organization members need to participate actively in it.
JMM’s Dominant Role in Jharkhand:
After the meeting, party General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey stated that JMM is the major player in Jharkhand. Hemant Soren has been authorized for seat-sharing negotiations.
Vinod Pandey noted that the political landscape in Jharkhand has changed since the last election, and all parties in the coalition recognize JMM’s significant role.
Decisions by the Chief Minister:
Pandey said that the party’s working president and Chief Minister Hemant Soren is also a member of the Opposition coalition core coordination committee. During coalition meetings, Soren will present his views, and his decisions will be accepted by the party and organization.
Pandey added that JMM and Hemant Soren are crucial to the coalition. With several tribal-majority seats in elections across five states, JMM has not yet fielded candidates. If the coalition requests, Hemant Soren will participate in election campaigning.
