According to a report by India Today, a hidden camera was discovered by some students in the girls’ dormitory of an engineering college in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district. After the discovery, the students took an aggressive stance and began protesting on the college campus. On Thursday at midnight, hundreds of students gathered and protested within the college premises.
Claims of 300 Videos Recorded Through Hidden Cameras
During the protest, the students raised loud slogans. The hidden camera found in the girls’ hostel was allegedly installed by a final-year student, and the students claimed that nearly 300 videos were recorded and shared through this camera. They have also demanded the immediate arrest of the accused. The large number of students gathered at the time created a tense situation, leading the police to be called to the scene.
The Accused Was Arrested
In response, the police have detained a final-year student from the college in connection with this case. His mobile phone and laptop have also been seized. The police have stated that they are not releasing the identity of the student for security reasons, and further investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, the college administration has responded to the incident by denying the students’ allegations, stating that no such camera was found in the hostel.
