Ranchi: In view of the Jharkhand Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination scheduled to be held on September 21 and 22 at 823 centers in Jharkhand, internet services will remain suspended across the state from 8 AM to 1:30 PM during the exam period.
The Principal Secretary of the Home, Jail, and Disaster Management Department, Vandana Dadel, issued an order related to this on Friday. She stated in the order that the decision is being made to ensure a fair examination without any cheating. Around 640,000 candidates are expected to appear for the exam across the state.
In the order, the Home Department mentioned that there have been complaints of paper leaks through mobile phones, social media, WhatsApp, X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, YouTube, and other platforms. The state government does not want to leave any loopholes for such activities, which is why it has decided to suspend internet, mobile data, Wi-Fi, and other services during the exam period.
