There have been continuous incidents of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir over the last few months. Several encounters have also taken place between the Indian Army and terrorists. The government is taking strict measures against terrorism.
Against this backdrop, today, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has taken a major step. He has ordered the direct dismissal of three government employees on suspicion of having links with terrorist organizations. The dismissed employees include a police constable, a forest department employee, and a teacher. They have been accused of being associated with terrorist organizations and were removed from service on this basis.
According to reports, one of the three dismissed employees has been identified as Firdous Ahmed Bhat. It is alleged that he worked for a terrorist organization while in service, as reported by India Today.
An important security review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Following the meeting, the decision to dismiss the three employees was made. During the meeting, Manoj Sinha also directed the police and security agencies to intensify anti-terrorism operations.
Over the past few years, more than 70 government employees in Jammu and Kashmir have been dismissed for allegedly supporting terrorist groups.
Meanwhile, Manoj Sinha stated that those who support and finance terrorism will face severe consequences. “Every criminal and supporter of terrorism will have to pay a price. There is a need to work more effectively to neutralize terrorists and ensure the safety of citizens,” he said.
