Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) Conducts Review Meeting for Quality Power Supply
A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of General Manager (Power) Ajit Kumar to ensure quality electricity supply. The meeting was attended by power officials from the Jamshedpur division and was conducted at the Executive Engineer’s office in Adityapur.
Key Highlights of the Meeting:
- Focus on Recovering Outstanding Dues:
- Instructions were issued to disconnect electricity for consumers with outstanding dues exceeding ₹10,000.
- Revenue Target for December:
- The billing agency Sai Computers was directed to achieve 100% revenue collection in December.
- Progress Under RDSS Scheme:
- Agency MS Universal, working under the RDSS scheme, was instructed to expedite project completion and increase manpower.
- Smart Meter Implementation:
- Agency BenTech was ordered to complete surveys for smart meter installations in households promptly.
- Maintenance Work for Winter:
- Emphasis was placed on completing maintenance tasks during the winter to ensure uninterrupted power supply during summer.
Officials from various project agencies were also present at the meeting.
Power Supply to be Interrupted for Maintenance in Medininagar (Palamu):
A maintenance operation will be conducted at the 33/11 kV Sudna Substation on Sunday. As a result, power supply from the substation will remain shut from 1 PM to 3 PM.
Assistant Electrical Engineer (Urban), Amit Kumar Khess, announced that during this time, power supply to the following feeders will be disrupted:
- 11 kV Hospital Feeder
- Industrial Feeder
- Kachahari Feeder
- Bazaar Feeder
- Hamidganj Feeder
Electric Pole Damaged by Truck in Latehar:
An 11 kVA electric pole near Shiv Mandir in Bazartand, Latehar, was damaged after being hit by a truck. Junior Engineer Ankit Kumar informed that power supply to Bazartand, Shivpuri, and Banpur areas will remain affected until a replacement pole is installed.
Efforts are underway to erect a new pole, and power restoration is expected by Sunday afternoon.
