Ranchi, Jharkhand Election Results 2024: The picture of the new government in Jharkhand has become clear, with trends indicating a majority once again for the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Kalpana Soren, wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has secured victory from the Gandey seat, while CM Soren is leading in his constituency. Meanwhile, CM Soren shared photos with his children on social media, calling them his source of strength.
Out of the 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand, results for 16 constituencies have been declared so far. Among these, the JMM has won the most seats with 11, while the BJP secured 2, and Congress, CPI(ML), and JLKM have won one seat each.
After trends indicated a majority, CM Hemant Soren posted pictures with his two children on social media, captioning them as “My Strength.”
Elections Held in Two Phases
The Jharkhand Assembly elections were conducted in two phases. The first phase of voting took place on November 13, and the second phase on November 20. This time, Jharkhand recorded a 68% voter turnout, the highest in the state’s electoral history.
2019 Election Results
In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won 30 seats, while the Congress secured 16 seats, and the RJD won one seat. Together, the three parties formed a coalition government.
