Jharkhand News: Passengers will now be able to avail direct train service from the capital Ranchi to Kolhan. The announcement has been made to run the Intercity Express train between Ranchi and Barbil, and the timetable has also been released.
The Ranchi to Barbil Intercity Express will travel via Muri, Chandil, Sini, Rajkharsawan, and Chaibasa, reaching Barbil. Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Pradeep Verma had requested the Ministry of Railways to restore the rail service from Chaibasa in the Kolhan division to Ranchi on August 8th. Today, the Jan Shatabdi Express will remain canceled. The Howrah-Barbil-Howrah 12021-12022 Jan Shatabdi Express has been canceled on Thursday, August 22. South Eastern Railway issued an order regarding this on Wednesday. According to the order, the Jan Shatabdi Express has been canceled to ensure its operation at the scheduled time due to its continuous delays.
A Durga Puja special train will run between Santragachi and Gondia. The Superfast Durga Puja Special train will operate in two rounds between Santragachi and Gondia. Keeping the passengers’ convenience in mind, the railway has issued an order regarding this. As per the order, the 08803-08894 special train will run from Santragachi on October 5th and 10th, while it will run from Gondia on October 4th and 9th. This train will reach Gondia after stopping at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Raigarh, Champa, Bilaspur, Bhatapara, Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, and Dongargarh. In Tatanagar, the Gondia-Santragachi special train will arrive at 1 AM, while the down train will arrive at 11 AM and depart after a five-minute stop.
Railway earns ₹227,630 from the sale of 4,230 tickets at Mahadeveshwar Dham
During the Shravan month, a temporary ticket counter was opened for passengers at Mahadeveshwar Dham in Chakradharpur rail division. The railway earned a total of ₹227,630 from passengers throughout the Shravan month.
The total number of passengers who bought tickets and traveled from Mahadeveshwar Dham was 4,230. On August 11th, the highest ticket sales were recorded at ₹42,050, followed by ₹34,645 on August 12th, and ₹31,670 on August 28th.
