State Bureau, Ranchi: A one-day health fair will be organized in all blocks of the state from January 20 to 24. The fair, organized under the directives of the Union Ministry of Health, will offer benefits under various schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, National Health Campaign, and other national health programs.
Additionally, the fair will also focus on raising awareness among the public through various awareness programs.
Ayushman Cards to Be Made
Abu Imran, Director of the National Health Campaign in Jharkhand, has issued detailed guidelines and orders to the Director of Health Services, Regional Deputy Directors, and Civil Surgeons regarding the fair. Under this, eligible citizens will be provided Ayushman cards during the health fairs.
Digital Health ID Cards Facility
Citizens will also be able to obtain Digital Health ID cards at the fair. The health ID will facilitate checking for diabetes, high blood pressure, and other health issues, and in case of need, patients will be referred to hospitals for treatment.
Other Facilities Available
Basic healthcare services, AYUSH treatments, yoga, and more will be provided at the health fair. The fair will be organized at the block office or the CHC premises. Different stalls will be set up for various programs.
Doctors, along with health workers like Sahiyas and ANMs, will be stationed at the fair. The location will be chosen such that it is easily accessible for people in the surrounding areas to benefit from the health fair.
Each Block Will Receive One Lakh Rupees
To ensure the success of the health fair, each block will receive one lakh rupees under the National Health Campaign. However, if required, an additional amount can be spent with permission from the district commissioner.
To facilitate the successful conduct of the event, preparations will begin under the leadership of the District Health Authority, headed by the District Commissioner.
Awareness Programs to Be Held
The health fair will also focus on raising awareness about child health, maternal health, vaccination, TB, leprosy, malaria, dental and eye exams, nutrition counseling, family planning, cataract screening, and cancer awareness. Attendees will benefit from numerous services and programs available at the fair.
