Ranchi State Bureau: The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday targeted former Chief Minister Champai Soren, taking advantage of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit.
General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Champai Soren has been a strong spokesperson of the party. He has always raised issues and demands related to JMM’s policies and principles and the interests of Jharkhand with prominence. Now that he has joined the BJP, his responsibility has increased.
Supriyo’s Demand from Champai
Supriyo Bhattacharya stated that the Prime Minister is visiting Jamshedpur on September 15. Champai should get the pending dues for Jharkhand from the PM and ensure the announcement of the Sarna religious code.
Many former Chief Ministers will be present on the stage. It is also their responsibility to get the Prime Minister to make this announcement. The Home Minister is also visiting Santhal on September 21.
Supriyo further said that President Droupadi Murmu is visiting Jharkhand on September 19. If the PM and the Home Minister make the announcement, the President will grant approval for it.
Jharkhand Gives a Lot to the Country, but…
He said that during her tenure as Governor, Droupadi Murmu protected the interests of the indigenous people by rejecting the amendments to the CNT-SPT Act made by the previous Raghubar government. Jharkhand gives a lot to the country, but in return, Jharkhand and its people receive very little.
He concluded by saying that the BJP’s intentions will not succeed in the state, and the BJP will be wiped out in the upcoming assembly elections.
