Kangana’s Response on Rahul Gandhi and the Film:
In response to whether Rahul Gandhi would appreciate the movie, Kangana first glanced at the audience and said, “If they go home and watch Tom and Jerry cartoons, how will they understand my film?”
In an interview with Mashable India, Kangana was asked if she met Indira Gandhi’s family while making the biopic. She was also questioned about Rahul Gandhi’s possible reactions to the film. Kangana responded, “Yes, making a biopic was very challenging; Indira Gandhi’s life was full of ups and downs. I had every right to gather all necessary information. The film is based on Indira Gandhi’s biography written by Pupul Jayakar, which was launched by Rajiv Gandhi. I believe Rahul Gandhi will be pleased and even proud to see this biopic.”
Kangana Ranaut plays the lead role in Emergency, which also features actors like Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Milind Soman. The film will be released on September 6.
