On Tuesday, Minister of School Education and Literacy, Ramdas Soren, held a meeting with department officials to review the schemes being implemented by the department. He emphasized the importance of educating children in their mother tongue and directed the department to work towards this goal.
He stated that proposals should be prepared for teaching in tribal and regional languages that have a script. A final decision on this will be taken after another meeting following the assembly session.
Focus on Teacher Recruitment
During the meeting, the minister stressed the urgency of recruiting teachers and instructed officials to address any legal obstacles hindering the process. He emphasized that filling vacant posts promptly would ensure quality education for children.
Quality Education and Teacher Training
Minister Soren highlighted the importance of having teachers in schools to deliver quality education. He also underlined the need for regular training for teachers, noting that the field of education is evolving rapidly, and teachers must stay updated.
Fulfillment of Previous Government’s Announcements
The minister directed that all decisions and announcements made by the previous Hemant Soren government be implemented promptly. He also instructed that issues faced by para-teachers, BRPs-CRPs, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya teachers be resolved quickly.
Additionally, he ordered the timely distribution of uniforms, kits, bicycles, and other necessities to students.
Presentation by Education Department Officials
Before this, officials gave a detailed presentation on the progress of various schemes and programs run by the Education Department and the Jharkhand Education Project Council.
Congratulatory Messages at the Secretariat
Minister Ramdas Soren was congratulated at the Secretariat by former MLA Kunal Sarangi and JMM Central Committee member Kanhu Samant, who presented him with bouquets. The minister discussed various issues with them.
Minister’s Vision for Better Education in Jharkhand
On Monday, during his first review meeting with departmental officials, Minister Soren shared his intent to improve the education system in Jharkhand. He provided suggestions to make Jharkhand a leading state in education.
The review meeting included detailed discussions about the department, and senior officials such as the Secretary, Director, and Project Director of the Education Department participated. The meeting reviewed the work of the Jharkhand Education Project, Jharkhand State Midday Meal Authority, Directorate of Primary Education, Directorate of Secondary Education, and JCERT.
