The third season of ‘Mirzapur’ has recently come to the audience. The new season can be seen on Amazon Prime Video. The fans of ‘Mirzapur’ series have been waiting for this much-loved third installment for the past four years. After four years, the audience will finally get to see the clash between Pankaj Tripathi’s Kaleen Bhaiya and Ali Fazal’s Guddu Pandit. Disputes are going on between these two to dominate ‘Mirzapur’. Let’s find out what are the fictional families in this series…
Tripathi family
The story of ‘Mirzapur’ begins with Akhandanand Tripathi aka Kaleen Bhaiya played by Pankaj Tripathi. Kaleen is the biggest gangster in ‘Mirzapur’ and is involved in illegal arms and drug trade. Kalin’s son i.e. Munna wants to leave his father and take all the rights for himself. But, in an attempt to seize power, Munna is killed by family rival Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal) in Season 2. Bina (Rasika Dugal), the daughter-in-law of the Tripathi family, takes revenge by brutally murdering Satyanand in the second episode and helps Guddu Pandit to kill Kaleen and Munna. Kaleen manages to escape during this attack.
Pandit family
Munna and Guddu have heated arguments right from the first episode. The conflict between them escalates when they realize that they both love the same girl. Her name is Sweety Gupta (Shriya Pilgaonkar). But then Guddu and Sweety get married and Sweety gets pregnant. As soon as Munna realizes this, he kills Bablu Pandit and Sweety. However, Guddu manages to escape with Golu (Sweta Tripathi’s sister Sweety) and his sister Dimpy Pandit. In Season 2, after Guddu recovers, he prepares to capture Mirzapur once again. This time Golu (Sweta Tripathi) helps him. Finally Bina helps Golu and Guddu. Beena further escalates the rift between Munna and Kalin resulting in Guddu and Golu attacking Munna. While Munna dies in this, Kaleen Bhaiyya runs away.
Gupta family
Guptaji is a police officer in ‘Mirzapur’ and also works for Kaleen Bhaiya. He wants his elder daughter Sweety to marry Munna. However, Sweety marries Guddu Pandit. So Kalin tells Bhaiyya Guptaji to forget about Sweety…and do something to find Golu.
Shukla family
Rati Shankar Shukla, played by Shubhrajyoti Barat, is the antagonist of Kaleen Bhaiyya in the series. Rati is a goon from a famous house in Jaunpur. He also wants to rule Mirzapur. Rati is murdered by Guddu and Bablu in season 1. After that now his son Sharad Shukla has come to avenge his father’s death. Sharad joins hands with Munna against Kalin Bhaiyya. But, when the time is right, he will complete his revenge.
Sacrificial family
Dadda Tyagi steals vehicles and sells them in the black market. He has two twin sons – Shatrughna (younger son) and Bharat (elder son). Since Bharat and Sharad are friends, the Tyagi family eventually join hands with the Tripathi family and agree to run an illegal arms business together. Meanwhile, Golu approaches Shatrughna to make an opium business deal. When Tyagi comes to know about this, there are disputes in the family. Finally, one of Dadda Tyagi’s sons dies in the firing. It is not yet known which of the two died. The secret will be revealed in this season.
Yadav family
SP Yadav is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. They ask Kalin Bhaiyya to reduce the violence before the elections. Kalin asks Bhaiya Munna to help Madhuri Yadav in election campaign. During the campaign, Madhuri develops feelings for Munna. Kalin Bhaiyya advises Munna to marry Madhuri to gain political support. Meanwhile, SP Yadav’s younger brother JP Yadav kills him. This is why Madhuri works hand in hand with Kaalin Bhaiyya and involves JP Yadav in a sex scandal. Kalin Bhaiyya thinks that by helping Madhuri, he will be the next Chief Minister but instead it is decided in the party meeting that Madhuri herself becomes the Chief Minister and there is a big upheaval in Mirzapur.
Maqbool is Kaalin Bhaiyya’s faithful protector. He learns that his own nephew Babar Khan is working with Guddu Pandit. Now everyone is curious about the clash between Kaleen and Guddi in ‘Mirzapur 3’.
