Garhwa. The first phase of elections in Jharkhand is scheduled for November 13. Meanwhile, after visiting Garhwa, Prime Minister Modi has arrived in Chaibasa. He is addressing a gathering there, where he strongly criticized the JMM and Congress.
“I Have Lived Through the Struggles of the Poor”: PM Modi
PM Modi stated that he has experienced the struggles of the poor. In the last ten years, 25 crore (250 million) people have risen above the poverty line. If his government comes to power, it will offer farmers an MSP of ₹3,000 per quintal for rice. He accused Congress of keeping the tribal population poor, saying, “Those whom nobody cares about, Modi respects.”
He announced that the Dharti Aaba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign will promote development in 60,000 tribal villages. PM Modi alleged that the state government delayed the construction of a medical college in Chaibasa and accused it of facilitating infiltration that could alter Jharkhand’s identity. He urged voters to protect the “land, daughters, and livelihoods” of the tribals.

Free Nursing Training by BJP
Modi said there is a high demand for nursing globally, and the BJP will provide free nursing training. He criticized JMM and Congress, saying that unfulfilled promises led to the migration of youth from the state. He claimed that in the last five years, every examination in Jharkhand has been plagued by paper leaks.

PM Modi pointed out that while BJP appointed a tribal woman as President, Congress opposed it. He alleged that Champai Soren was insulted, removed from the role of CM, and disrespected by the Kolhan region. PM Modi said Kolhan once expelled the British, and now it’s time for JMM and Congress. He claimed that in the history of India, Congress and RJD were responsible for the Gua firing incident, and encouraged voters to ask their grandparents about it. PM Modi highlighted that BJP appointed tribal Chief Ministers in both Odisha and Chhattisgarh and said that BJP has ensured significant tribal representation in its government.

Modi emphasized that it was BJP that created the states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Starting November 15, the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, he announced that BJP would initiate a tribal welfare program and promised to honor the “Ho” language.

PM Modi advocated for a “double-engine government” for double the development. He expressed gratitude to Jharkhand BJP for presenting an impressive manifesto, mentioning that under the Gogo Didi Scheme, every woman would receive ₹2,100 monthly, and gas cylinders would cost ₹500 each in Jharkhand.

PM Modi emphasized that BJP has a proven track record of fulfilling its promises, unlike Congress, JMM, and RJD, which he accused of making false promises. He accused the Mahagathbandhan of betraying people in the name of housing programs and noted that BJP built 1.6 million permanent homes and vowed to construct 2.1 million more homes in Jharkhand for SC, ST, OBC, and those in temporary housing.
A Message for Jharkhand’s Youth
PM Modi praised Jharkhand’s talented youth, especially in sports, but claimed that JMM, Congress, and RJD betrayed them by not delivering on promises such as unemployment benefits. He pledged that a BJP government would fill 300,000 government positions transparently.
He further announced that BJP would provide a monthly allowance of ₹2,000 to young job-seekers, establish an annual exam calendar, and offer economic assistance to small and marginal farmers.
NDA Government’s Commitment – Modi’s Guarantee
Modi assured voters that an NDA government would work tirelessly to fulfill these promises. He warned against believing in rumors spread by opponents and accused JMM of misleading farmers over the PM-Kisan Samman Yojana.
He said Mahagathbandhan leaders have a history of false promises and asked voters to teach these “self-serving” politicians a lesson. He concluded that the greatest threat to Jharkhand is dynastic politics, as practiced by JMM, Congress, and RJD, who he said want to keep power within their families.

PM Modi alleged that Jharkhand has seen record levels of corruption in the last five years, with cash found in the homes of ministers, MLAs, and MPs. He accused the opposition of looting the people’s rights and filling their pockets with funds meant for public welfare, including water supply initiatives. He added that the state government has become a “slave to the mafia,” and accused JMM, Congress, and RJD of practicing appeasement politics, alleging that infiltration within government machinery threatens people’s livelihood and safety.
He concluded by saying that Jharkhand’s rapid development is only possible if the state has a government that quickly implements central schemes. He claimed that if an NDA government were in power in Jharkhand, projects like the Son Kanhar pipeline would have been completed. BJP and NDA, he stated, are committed to development and preserving heritage.
