On Sunday, at the Vijay Sankalp Sabha organized by the BJP at the Chandipur football ground in Chandankiyari, Bokaro district, Prime Minister Modi directly targeted the state government and the Congress party. Addressing the OBC, SC, and ST voters of Dhanbad and Bokaro, he remarked that the unity of these communities has caused Congress discomfort. He stated that since OBCs received reservation in 1990, Congress has not managed to secure even 200 seats in the Lok Sabha. Hence, Congress wants to disrupt this unity, emphasizing that unity ensures safety.
PM Modi greeted the crowd in the regional Khortha language and paid respects to local deities such as Lugu Baba, Bhairav Baba in Chandankiyari, and Lilori Mata in Dhanbad. Key figures in attendance included Union Minister Annapurna Devi, Acting President Ravindra Kumar Rai, Opposition Leader Amar Kumar Bauri, MP Dhullu Mahto, and other prominent leaders.
Modi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to Jharkhand’s development, saying, “We created Jharkhand, and we will take care of it.” He cited that under Congress, from 2004 to 2014, the central government allocated only 80,000 crores to Jharkhand. But since 2014, under BJP, over 3 lakh crores have been provided to the state for development.
He criticized the current state government, claiming they have deprived people of their rights, and highlighted the issue of illegal sand mining, alleging that local leaders are making huge profits while common people struggle.
Modi promised that once the BJP forms the government, corrupt officials will be jailed, and funds will be spent directly for the people’s benefit. He stated that BJP wants everyone to have basic amenities like proper housing, electricity, water, education, and health services.
He pledged that once BJP comes to power, the airport in Bokaro will be operational, allowing affordable air travel, creating job opportunities for youth, and bolstering local industries in sectors like steel and coal. He added that the NDA government has a goal of providing stable jobs, particularly to youth.
Regarding education and employment, PM Modi vowed to crack down on those involved in paper leaks and corruption in job recruitment. He also promised the “Gogo Didi” scheme to support women financially.
Modi discussed plans to reduce household electricity bills through the PM Suryaghar Yojana, which will offer financial support for installing solar panels. Excess electricity generated can be sold back to the government, benefiting families directly.
He concluded by urging voters to beware of the Congress and JMM’s alleged plans to divide communities and expressed concern over the reinstatement of Article 370 in Kashmir by the Congress alliance. He reiterated that BJP will ensure the safety and land rights of the people, curb infiltration, and enact laws to protect daughters and lands.
The rally ended with PM Modi appealing for support and a strong mandate for BJP and NDA candidates in the upcoming elections.
