PM Modi’s Speech in Jharkhand:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Congress party wants to end reservations for the tribal, Dalit, and backward communities. He mentioned that during Rajiv Gandhi’s time, advertisements issued by the Congress party used to insult Dalits, backward classes, and tribals, claiming that reservations for these communities were harming the country.
On Monday, during a conversation with BJP booth-level workers in Jharkhand, Pinky Khoya, the spokesperson for the BJP ST Morcha and a booth worker from the Hatia assembly constituency, briefed the Prime Minister about the tribal-opposing policies of JMM-Congress. In response, Modi said that at one time, Congress ruled from the Panchayat level to Delhi, and no one had the courage to talk about reservations. But when SC, ST, and backward communities united, they secured reservations. Now, Congress is trying to divide these communities and break their unity, aiming to end their reservations.
The Prime Minister urged BJP workers to show people Congress’s posters that illustrate these intentions.
BJP’s Strength at Booth Level: Talking to BJP booth-level workers, Prime Minister Modi praised their role, stating that it is because of their efforts that governments are formed at the center and in the states. Rajeev, a worker from Chutia Mandal of Ranchi constituency, mentioned that there is strong enthusiasm among women and youth for forming a BJP government. He also highlighted the importance of the Goggo Didi scheme and the Youth Partner allowance as expressed in the BJP manifesto. Modi appreciated the active involvement of the booth-level workers.
Corruption in Congress-JMM: Modi further criticized the Congress-JMM alliance, saying that Congress’s royal family had taught Hemant Soren’s family the art of corruption. Pankaj Mandal, a Youth Morcha worker from Rajmahal, shared that the public is frustrated with the corruption of the Hemant government and eager for a BJP government. Balwant Mandal, a worker from Devghar constituency, pointed out that the state government doesn’t implement schemes provided by the central government. Modi responded, saying that these state leaders do not get a chance to take commissions from the central government’s schemes, so they mimic these programs like the housing scheme or Ayushman Bharat to deceive the public.
