PM Narendra Modi Writes About Maha Kumbh On X
The 45-day Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, recently concluded. During this grand event, crores of devotees from all over the world took a dip in the Triveni Sangam with faith and devotion.
On Thursday, at the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh Mela, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the great sacrifice of unity had been completed. On this occasion, he also expressed his regret and apologized for any inconvenience caused to the devotees during the event.
“I Apologize”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media platform X, writing, “The Mahakumbh is over… The Mahayagya of unity is complete.” He praised the way 140 crore Indians came together at this 45-day-long Mahakumbh of unity in Prayagraj.
Acknowledging the challenges of organizing such a massive event, he added, “I know that organizing such a large event was not easy. I pray to Ganga Mata, Yamuna Mata, and Saraswati Mata—O Mother, if there was any shortcoming in our worship, please forgive me. If I fell short in serving the devotees, who are like God to me, I sincerely apologize.”
Maha Kumbh Mela: A New Subject of Study
Prime Minister Modi further wrote, “This Maha Kumbh Mela, organized in Prayagraj, has become a new subject of study for modern-day management professionals, planning, and policy experts. Today, there is no other example of such a massive gathering anywhere in the world. The entire world is amazed at how crores of people assembled on the banks of a single river at the Triveni Sangam.”
India, Proud of Its Heritage, Moves Forward
At the end of his post, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the overwhelming participation in the Maha Kumbh, stating, “A much larger number of devotees came to Prayagraj than expected. The administration had estimated attendance based on previous Kumbh Mela experiences, but this time, almost twice the population of the United States participated in this Mahakumbh of unity and took a holy dip.”
He also emphasized the spiritual and cultural significance of the event, saying, “If researchers in the field of spirituality study this grand celebration, they will realize that India, proud of its heritage, is now moving forward with a renewed energy. I believe this represents the voice of change in our era, which will shape a new future for India.”
