Prime Minister Modi is on a three-day visit to America starting today and left for Delaware this morning. Meanwhile, he will attend the Quad Summit and address the United Nations General Assembly. Additionally, it has been reported that Prime Minister Modi will participate in a program organized for expatriate Indians. Importantly, security for Prime Minister Modi has been greatly increased during this visit.
According to a report by The Indian Express, a meeting was held between the security officials of both countries just 15 days before Prime Minister Modi’s US visit. In this meeting, it was decided to enhance security during Modi’s trip. This decision comes in the context of the attack on former US President Donald Trump and the opposition from Khalistani supporters.
After arriving in Delaware, Prime Minister Modi will meet US President Joe Biden. Following that meeting, both leaders are expected to attend the Quad Conference, which will also include the Prime Ministers of Japan and Australia. The two leaders will meet at Archmere Academy in Delaware, which has been closed to the general public. This decision was made due to concerns about potential pro-Khalistani infiltration in the area, ensuring that no crowds or students will be present.
Additionally, a large number of security personnel have been deployed at Prime Minister Modi’s venue in New York. SPG and US Secret Service officials are coordinating efforts for this security. Prime Minister Modi will address expatriate Indians at this location on September 22. The event will be held in Nassau, New York. Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi will address the United Nations General Assembly on September 23 and return to India on September 24.
