Priyanka Chopra Joins S.S. Rajamouli’s Highly Anticipated Film ‘SSMB29’
Priyanka Chopra is set to star in S.S. Rajamouli’s much-awaited film ‘SSMB29’, alongside Mahesh Babu in the lead role. The collaboration between Priyanka, Rajamouli, and Mahesh Babu has sparked discussions on social media.
Bollywood’s Desi Girl was last seen in the Hindi film The Sky Is Pink (2019). Over the past five years, she has not appeared in any Hindi or Indian films, focusing exclusively on Hollywood projects.
Now, Priyanka is making her comeback to Indian cinema with the South Indian film SSMB29. While her return with a renowned director and superstar actor is significant, what’s grabbing the most attention is her reported fee for the film.
Priyanka Chopra’s Fee for ‘SSMB29’
According to a report by Koimoi, Priyanka has demanded a whopping ₹30 crore for her role, making her one of the most expensive actresses Rajamouli has ever worked with. This fee surpasses the amounts paid to other leading actresses in Rajamouli’s films, including:
- Alia Bhatt – ₹9 crore for RRR
- Anushka Shetty – ₹5 crore for Baahubali
However, no official confirmation regarding her fee has been made by the filmmakers.
‘SSMB29’ Shooting Updates
The shooting of SSMB29 has already begun at Aluminum Factory, Hyderabad, with both Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra present on set. To prevent leaks, S.S. Rajamouli has enforced a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), restricting the use of mobile phones during the shoot.
As per reports, the team will also film key action sequences in Kenya’s forests.
‘SSMB29’ Release Plan
According to Pinkvilla, the film will be released in two parts:
- Part 1 – Scheduled for release in 2027
- Part 2 – Expected to release in 2029
With Rajamouli’s grand vision, Mahesh Babu’s stardom, and Priyanka Chopra’s comeback, SSMB29 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Indian films in the coming years.
