State Bureau, Ranchi: After resigning from the position of Governor of Odisha, former Chief Minister Raghubar Das arrived at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi on Thursday, where a large crowd of BJP workers had gathered to welcome him. This led to a temporary disruption outside the airport. After stepping out, Raghubar Das spent around 15 minutes meeting with the workers and leaders.
A large crowd of BJP supporters from Jamshedpur also arrived to welcome him. The workers adorned him with garlands and flowers. Raghubar Das appeared overwhelmed by the grand reception and expressed his gratitude towards the workers before heading to his official residence in Dhurwa with his convoy.
Earlier, he was honored with a Guard of Honor at the airport. According to reports, Raghubar Das is scheduled to leave for Jamshedpur on Friday, where grand preparations have been made for his welcome.
Return to BJP Politics and Membership
Raghubar Das is set to make his return to BJP politics. It is expected that he will rejoin the party and take the membership on Friday. He had resigned from the party before assuming the position of Governor due to constitutional obligations. Preparations are underway at the state party office for him to take membership, although this has not been officially confirmed.
Before His Return: A Visit to the Raj Bhavan
Before bidding farewell to Bhubaneswar, Raghubar Das took 1,000 tribal children from Jharkhand on a tour of the Raj Bhavan. He had previously promised to show them the Raj Bhavan, and he shared this information on social media. He mentioned that these children, from the tribal community of Jharkhand, visited the Raj Bhavan as part of this promise. During the visit, he encouraged the children to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals. He emphasized that dedicated effort is the key to success and wished them all a bright future.
