Director Ram Gopal Varma is known for his outspokenness and often finds himself in trouble for his statements. However, this time, he has praised Allu Arjun for his performance in Pushpa 2 without making any controversial comments.
Ram Gopal Varma praised Allu Arjun’s performance as well as the character of Pushpa in his post. He wrote, “Characters that are crafted by working on the nuances of a role are rare in Indian films, and it is even rarer when a star forgets his own image and completely immerses himself in the character.” Ram Gopal Varma further added, “Allu Arjun played Pushpa’s role with such ease that the character seems real. It is a very rare achievement that Pushpa feels so realistic despite being a commercial and mainstream film.”
While revealing the nuances of Pushpa’s character, Ram Gopal Varma said that the character is a blend of innocence and cleverness. He also mentioned, “The combination of pride and insecurity makes the character even more multifaceted.” Referring to Pushpa’s hunched shoulder, which is a physical irony, he said, “I never thought that a person with a physical irony could be a super action hero. But in Pushpa’s character, Allu Arjun created a different identity from that physical irony and left a lasting impression on the audience with his powerful presentation, body language, and gestures. Allu Arjun has presented various emotions on screen very well.”
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule is setting new records at the box office. The film has so far collected Rs 600 crore worldwide, making it the fastest Indian film to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.
