Although Vishal is a Tamil hero, he has a good market in Telugu as well. It was in this sequence that the movie Ratnam, in which he acted, was released. Moreover, the interest increased as Hari became the director. How is this movie? Let’s see if he impresses the audience with the gem.
(Rathnam Review) Story:
All this story takes place in the borders of Andhra and Tamil Nadu. In this sequence, Ratnam (Vishal), who works in a vegetable market in Chittoor, has his mother and father die when he was young. Once he saves a Panneer (Seaman) in the same market with his life.. As a result he kills one and goes to jail. Paneer raises Ratna as his own son. Even after becoming an MLA, he will do anything for Ratnam. At the same time, Mallika (Priya Bhavani Shankar), a city girl, comes to Chittoor to take the NEET exam.
When you see her, you feel something unknown in the gem. Meanwhile many people try to kill her. Then Ratnam saves her from them. Why does he save.. There is a real story behind why Mallika is such a precious gem. In the process, Ratnam learns that it is the Lingam Brothers (Murali Sharma, Harish Parody, among others) who want to kill Mallika. What happened after that? Why do they want to kill Mallika.. Ratnam’s relationship with Mallika is the real story..
Article:
There are some films that are seen on the director’s brand without working with the heroes. Hari is the director with that range brand. Taking a small point.. Hari is a specialist in running the story with the screenplay. Starting from Singam, Hari’s many films have come out in the same way.. They have also become successful.
Ratnam is also a Hari Mark movie. Otherwise, it does not have the charms that were in the earlier movies. As always with the mass.. in this too Hari gave a lot of attention to emotions. The first half hour of the story goes like a broken kite. The entire first half is Chittoor, Andhra and Tamil Nadu border. But Hari wrote the screenplay by linking each small scene with another scene that comes somewhere.
Most of the scenes that are not understood in the first half will be answered in the second half. After the entry of the heroine, the story goes into a complete groove. Unlike the ever routine love track.. It is good to show the bonding between hero and heroine in a new way. A batch turns to kill the heroine.. to save her from them.. a small twist at the end.. the whole story of Ratnam movie.
The racy screenplay of Hari’s previous films is missing in this one. A minus for the slow narration gem. The action scenes are intense. Although the story is going on in a routine manner, when Vishal gets a knife in his hand, the whistles go off well. Hari showed that mass magic. The second half also has a lot to like for the masses.
Actors:
This character was a hit for Vishal. He has been doing these types of roles since time immemorial. Once again Vishal did such a character with Hari. And heroine Priya Bhavani Shankar’s acting is good. The entire story of the film revolves around her. Samudrakhani’s performance in another key role is good. Murali Verma and Harish Peradi are okay as villains. Big relief for Yogi Babu’s comedy movie. All the rest have done justice to their roles.
Technical Team:
Music by Major Plus Devi Sri Prasad for Ratnam movie. The background score is good and the songs are impressive despite the dubbing. The lyrics of the song are good. It’s been a week of editing. Editor Jai’s work cannot be faulted as it is a director’s choice. Otherwise, even if a few scenes are removed here and there, no loss will be felt. Cinematography is good. Cameramen are crucial for Hari’s film. Cameras run faster than the story in his films. The same happened in this. Director Hari once again believed in action. He added some emotion to it.
Punch Line:
Rathnam Review: Overall a gem.. Hari Mark action drama.. for mass audience..
