Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. In this budget, he announced plans for the development of various sectors. However, the opposition is criticizing the Modi government over this budget. The opposition is alleging that only Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have been given help in this budget to support the government and there is nothing for Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the Uddhav Thackeray group has also targeted the Modi government at the Centre.
What exactly did the Thackeray group say?
The Uddhav Thackeray group’s mouthpiece ‘Samana’ has criticized the Modi government. “Despite bringing an extra-constitutional government to power in Maharashtra through ‘Khoke’ shahi, it is clear from the Union Budget that the central government has filled its mind with malice and hatred towards Maharashtra. The Thackeray group has said that many states including Maharashtra have been treated grossly unfairly in this budget, which has given wealth from the government treasury to the two states, Andhra and Bihar, which have become the crutch of the government.
“Is it Maharashtra’s fault to be a big taxpayer state?”
“Is it Maharashtra’s fault that it is the largest tax-paying state that contributes the most to the country’s economy? Emptying the country’s coffers into two states just to maintain politics and the seat of government, is this called ‘Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas’? Such a question has also been asked by the Thackeray group.
“Modi’s chair stands on shaky legs”
“This budget is presented only to preserve the seat of Prime Minister Modi. Considering the manner in which the two states of Andhra and Bihar were looted from the treasury of the central government, this budget has highlighted how much the government has to struggle to keep the throne of Prime Minister Modi stable . is That is why the two states of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh, which have two legs of the chair, have been given huge relief from the budget,” Thackeray group has also criticized.
“An attempt to create an impression of how passionately we work”
“The Union Finance Minister announced provisions of thousands and millions of crores for different sectors of the country like agriculture, industry, education, infrastructure etc. Although the Finance Minister has tried to woo the runaway middle class by making minor changes in the income tax slabs, there will be little in the way of those using the old tax system. The government has never remembered the young students and unemployed people of the country. Therefore, crores of rupees have been allocated for education, employment, skill development and education. The Thackeray group has also said that every effort has been made in this budget to create an impression of how passionately we are working for the unemployed youth, laborers, farmers and women.
