Shah Rukh Khan’s Iconic ‘Mannat’ Bungalow to Get Two More Floors
Famous actor Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, ‘Mannat,’ located in Bandra, is set to have two additional floors added. The state’s environment department recently approved the proposal, fulfilling Shah Rukh’s long-standing desire to expand his iconic home.
The luxurious ‘Mannat,’ situated on the road leading to Mount Mary, is not just a residence but also a tourist attraction for Shah Rukh’s fans. Currently a six-storey structure, the bungalow will soon become even taller, as the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has granted permission for the construction of two more floors. Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan, had submitted the application to the relevant authorities for this expansion.
‘Mannat,’ which falls under the jurisdiction of the H West division of the Bandra West Municipal Corporation, will also undergo some other modifications during this expansion. Originally a six-storey structure, the bungalow received its Intimation of Disapproval (IOD) in 2002 and an occupancy certificate in mid-2006. Subsequently, two additional floors and a basement swimming pool were added, both of which received CRZ clearance and an occupancy certificate.
The addition of two more floors to the already iconic bungalow is set to make ‘Mannat’ an even grander landmark in Bandra.
