In this election Shivani Raja of Indian origin has won the MP from Leicester East in UK. Shivani Raja took oath as an MP on Tuesday. The video of him taking this oath is going viral on social media. This is because Shivani Raja had the Bhagavad Gita in his hand when he was sworn in as an MP.
Leicester East in the UK used to be considered a Labor Party stronghold. However, Shivani Raja of Indian origin won from here. Meanwhile, Shivani Raja has shared a video of taking oath as an MP on X account. Posting the video, he wrote: “It is a great honor to be sworn in to Parliament today to represent Leicester East. I also felt proud while taking the oath.”
Meanwhile, Shivani Raja secured 14,526 votes and defeated his opposition candidate by 4,426 votes. 650 constituencies were elected in the UK . Labor Party has won 412 seats in this election. Whereas Rishi Sunak’s Huzur Party (Conservative) has managed to win only 121 seats. MP Shivani Raja’s mother is from Rajkot and his father is from Gujarati. Shivani Raja was born in Leicester.
