Sonu Sood Reacts to Arrest Warrant Issued by Ludhiana Court
Actor Sonu Sood is currently trending on social media due to an arrest warrant issued against him. The warrant was issued by Ludhiana Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur in Punjab, causing a stir in the entertainment industry. Following this, Sonu Sood has now responded to the matter.
Sonu Sood’s Reaction
Sonu Sood addressed the issue through a post on his X (Twitter) account, stating:
“We feel it is important to clarify that the news circulating on social media is highly sensationalized. To put it simply, we have no direct connection with this matter. The Honorable Court had summoned us as a witness in a case related to a third party. Our lawyers have responded accordingly. On February 10, 2025, we will submit a detailed statement proving our non-involvement in this case.”
Sonu Sood Calls the News ‘Sensationalized’
Expressing disappointment over the issue, Sonu Sood further wrote:
“We are neither brand ambassadors nor connected to this matter in any way. The exaggerated news on social media is merely for attention-seeking purposes. It is truly unfortunate that artists are being soft-targeted like this. We will take strict and appropriate action regarding this.”
Why Was an Arrest Warrant Issued?
A fraud case involving ₹10 lakh is currently being heard in a Ludhiana court. Sonu Sood was summoned as a witness in this case. However, despite multiple summons, he failed to appear before the court. As a result, Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur issued an arrest warrant against him, ordering his production in court.
