Swapnil Kusale won Bronze in Olympic 2024 : India’s Swapnil Kusale has created history in Paris Olympics with amazing performance. He won a bronze medal in three positions in the 50m rifle event in shooting. Swapneel performed brilliantly in the 50m rifle event. His total score was 451.4. He became the second athlete from Maharashtra to win an individual medal at the Olympics after Khashaba Jadhav. India has won a total of three medals in Paris Olympics 2024. All three medals have come in shooting.
After this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has announced a prize of one crore rupees to Olympic hero Swapnil Kusale. Speaking about this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “Well done Swapnil, your bronze medal has brought a smile on the face of Maharashtra.” Your performance is proud of Maharashtra. You are our pride”, in these words Chief Minister Eknath Shinde congratulated Swapnil Kusale. It was also announced that Swapneel will be given a prize of one crore rupees for this performance.
What did Chief Minister Shinde say?
“Swapneel missed the silver medal by just 0.1 points. Still, his bronze medal has put a smile on Maharashtra’s face. Maharashtra has received a medal for individual achievement after 72 years. Swapneel will be given a prize of Rs.1 crore for this performance. He and his coach, parents will also be duly felicitated. Apart from this, Swapneel will be provided with all the necessary facilities for further preparation in shooting. Swapneel has created history with his performance. The hard work of Kusale’s family, his mentors, coaches etc. has been important for this success.”
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, “This success of Nembaji Swapneel as the President of Maharashtra Olympic Association is gratifying. Maharashtra is proud of Swapneel. Swapnil has become the only Indian athlete to win a medal in this sport of shooting. We are providing all necessary facilities and infrastructure for players, coaches for various sports in the state. We are also expanding the facilities of sports complexes in the state. After returning from Olympics, Swapneel will be welcomed and felicitated properly in Maharashtra”, he added.
Olympian Swapneel said, “A good foundation of shooting was laid while practicing at Krida Prabodhini in Pune. Along with my family, coach Mrs. Deshpande, who has been coaching me with motherly love, has played a major role in my success.”
