Even in the final match Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets giving 18 runs in 4 overs. With South Africa needing 22 runs off 18 balls, Bumrah conceded just two runs and took one wicket in the 18th over. Bumrah’s spell almost ensured India’s victory. India finally defeated South Africa to win the World Cup 2024 trophy, after which even Bumrah, who always controlled his emotions after every match, could not hold back tears of joy.
