UPSC Aspirant Letter to CJI: Three students preparing for UPSC died on Saturday night after water entered the basement of the IAS coaching center in Delhi. This problem is due to negligence of rulers in Delhi
According to a report by Times of India, Avinash Dubey, a student, approached Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud has written a letter. In this letter, he alleged that due to the negligence of the Delhi rulers, water logging problem is occurring in Rajendra Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar areas every year. Also, in this letter, he has also demanded to direct the concerned system to solve the problem of water logging permanently.
We are suffering hell in Delhi
As the drains in Rajendra Nagar and Mukherjee Nagar areas are not being cleaned, the problem of water logging is arising. This water is also entering people’s houses. We have to wade through water on our knees while passing through this area. He has said in this letter that we are suffering hell due to negligence of Delhi Government and Municipal Corporation.
Court should protect our fundamental rights
Further in this letter he has also said that the incident in Delhi is very unfortunate. Three students have died due to water logging in the basement of a coaching center in Delhi. This is a very unfortunate incident. Therefore, I request that the Supreme Court directs action against the culprits in this case and also protects our fundamental rights, he said.
Seven people have been arrested so far
Meanwhile, action has been taken against seven people in this case and they have been arrested so far. This also includes the owner of the coaching center. He was produced in the session court in Delhi today. This time the court has sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
