Vinod Kambli Health Update: Former Indian cricketer and close friend of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Vinod Kambli, has been admitted to Aakriti Hospital in Bhiwandi and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU). He has been unwell for the past few days. According to the doctors, his condition is gradually improving, and he will soon be shifted from the ICU to a general ward.
As news of his illness spread, many dignitaries from the sports and political spheres have visited the hospital to check on him. While undergoing treatment, Vinod Kambli shared a message with his fans through the media, expressing gratitude and optimism about his recovery.
Lifelong Free Treatment and Financial Assistance
Vinod Kambli was admitted to Aakriti Hospital about two weeks ago due to health complications. The hospital has announced that he will receive free treatment for life. Additionally, a large-scale appeal for financial assistance has been made to address his financial difficulties. So far, approximately ₹30 lakh has been raised and will be deposited into the bank account of Kambli’s wife, according to Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) MLA Pratap Sarnaik.
Kambli’s Message to Fans
Speaking to TV9 from the hospital, Kambli shared updates about his health:
“The doctors have provided excellent treatment, and physiotherapy has begun. I can walk a little now. I will recover soon. Everyone has shown so much love for my family. Merry Christmas to everyone!”
He also spoke about his bond with Sachin Tendulkar, saying:
“Sachin and I have many records together on the cricket field. Sachin is a Bharat Ratna, and I’m proud of our friendship.”
Determined to Recover
Kambli expressed his determination to recover quickly, saying:
“I will start running soon after completing my physiotherapy.”
On a lighter note, he recited lines from his favorite song, “Kal Khel Mein Hum Ho Na Ho”:
