Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Visit Premanand Maharaj’s Ashram in Vrindavan
India’s star batsman Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, recently visited the ashram of Premanand Govind Sharan Maharaj in Vrindavan along with their two children. The couple, who had also visited the ashram earlier, sought blessings and participated in spiritual discussions. A video of their visit is currently going viral on social media.
In the video, Virat and Anushka can be seen greeting Premanand Maharaj upon their arrival. The Maharaj asked Virat, “Are you happy?” to which Kohli nodded with a smile and said “yes.” Following this, Anushka interacted with the spiritual leader, sharing her thoughts and feelings.
Anushka told Premanand Maharaj, “When I came here last time, I had many questions in my mind. But everyone present had already asked those questions. You just give me love and devotion.” The Maharaj responded, “You are very brave because, in this society, after receiving so much respect, very few people return to the path of devotion—it is difficult. I believe your devotion has had a special impact on him (Virat).”
Anushka replied, “There is nothing greater in this world than devotion,” to which Premanand Maharaj smiled and said, “Yes, there is nothing greater than devotion. Have faith in God, always take His name, and live with love and happiness.”
Virat Kohli’s Recent Performance
On the cricketing front, Virat Kohli recently concluded the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. While he scored a century in the second innings of the Perth Test, his overall performance in the five-match Test series was below expectations. He struggled with dismissals outside the off-stump, being dismissed in this manner eight times during the series.
The couple’s visit to the ashram highlights their continued inclination toward spirituality, as they had previously visited Premanand Maharaj’s ashram in 2023.
