Jharkhand Weather News: Rain Alert Issued Across the State, Heavy Rainfall Expected in Several Districts
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in Jharkhand today. A rain alert has been issued for the entire state, urging people to remain cautious. Strong thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall are expected in some areas. A special warning has also been issued for farmers.
Rain Alert in These Districts of Jharkhand
On Saturday, thunderstorms with lightning are likely in most parts of Jharkhand. Heavy rains are expected in the central regions, including Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Gumla, and Khunti. Southern districts like East and West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Saraikela Kharsawan, as well as northwestern parts such as Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, and Lohardaga, are also likely to experience heavy rainfall.
Latest Information from the Weather Department
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the cyclonic circulation associated with the low-pressure system could affect the weather in Jharkhand, increasing the likelihood of heavy rain and strong thunderstorms. Both the general public and farmers have been advised to avoid venturing outdoors.
Heavy Rain Expected in Several Districts of Odisha
The Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center has indicated that moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to continue across various parts of Odisha until August 20. According to the weather forecast, the entire state will experience rain on Saturday.
However, heavy rainfall is particularly expected in districts such as Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak, with rainfall amounts ranging from 7 to 11 cm. A yellow alert has been issued for these areas.
On Sunday, heavy rain is also expected in Bargarh, Balangir, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh, and Keonjhar districts, with 7 to 11 cm of rain likely in these regions.
