Virat Kohli’s Last Test Series in Australia, Says Justin Langer:
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played between India and Australia from November 22. The first match of the series will be played in Perth. Before this match, former Australian head coach Justin Langer praised the Indian team and its players. Langer said, “Team India is a champion team and should not be underestimated. India has won the last four Test series against Australia, two of which have been played in Australia.”
Justin Langer’s Challenge to the Australian Public for Virat:
Langer also mentioned that this could be Virat Kohli’s last Test series in Australia, urging the Australian public to enjoy it. He added that this would also be the last Test series in Australia for players like Rohit Sharma and Ashwin. Speaking to The West Australian, Langer said, “If this is the last time Virat Kohli plays in Australia, people should come out in large numbers to enjoy him, because he is a superstar. Rohit Sharma, Ashwin, Jadeja, and Bumrah are also superstars. They will not be seen playing here again, so you should enjoy this opportunity.” Kohli, along with other Indian legends, may retire from Tests after the WTC final.
Justin Langer Praises Team India:
Langer further praised Team India, saying, “One thing you should never do is underestimate the champions, and that happens in every game. They are champions for a reason. There are one and a half billion cricket fans in India. They want nothing but excellence.” When India won their second Test series in Australia in 2020-21, Langer had said, “Never underestimate this Indian team.”
The five-match Test series between India and Australia begins on November 22, with the first match in Perth. After that, the Pink Ball Test match will be played in Adelaide, followed by a match in Gaba. The series will run for about 50 days, concluding in the first week of January, with the Boxing Day Test also included.
